Legal advice for using Children in your Art

Art Press Release from Australia. Published by Rebecca Gabrielle Cannon on Wednesday 10 February 2010.

In an obvious follow-up to the Bill Henson case, Arts Law have put together an informative handbook called 'Children in the Creative Process'. The handbook outlines four main areas of Australian law which affect the use of children in art, including employment of children, child pornography and obscenity laws, classification and censorship laws and privacy laws.

Although based on Australian law, the fact sheet also has general advice and is a good starting point for anyone in the world who is considering using children in their production process.
