The Australian Design Centre (ADC), one of Australia’s leading centres supporting contemporary craft and design, today announced two major funding grants.

Australia Council Funding
ADC has received $100,000 in project funding from the Australia Council for the Arts for ADC On Tour.

ADC Director Lisa Cahill said; This funding recognises the incredible ongoing success of our national touring program for supporting artists and building audiences for their work. The decision demonstrates the Australia Council’s ongoing commitment to ADC. 2017 is the first year that we begin to feel the affects of the significant cuts to the core funding of small to medium organisations. This goes some way to helping ADC weather that 2016 decision.
ADC is one of 184 successful recipients from more than 1300 applications made to the Australia Council in this round, this crucial funding supports ADC’s ongoing and future touring programs.

ADC also congratulates the other successful Australia Council funding recipients, including designers Jon Goulder, Trent Jansen and UNSW Art & Design Galleries.
