Next Wave Festival switches to Day Passes and Festival Shows

Art Press Release from Australia. Published by Rebecca Gabrielle Cannon on Tuesday 10 April 2012.

In Next Wave Festival 2012 is shaking things up. They’re interested in the concept of gathering: of how people come together and what makes them stay, so they’ve decided to try something new: the festival Day Pass – whole-day, crafted journeys that you can experience with friends.

Festivals are political. They insist that we’re better together than we are alone. That real moments of connection and inspiration exist in the spaces between, over a drink or meal or on the dance floor.

In 2012, Next Wave Festival invites you to experience full days of spectacle, performance, live art and installation punctuated with plenty of discussion, inspiration and parties.

Day Passes start at just $15. The most expensive one is $55 and includes 7 shows. Each pass is a journey through the next wave, hosted by the festival’s ‘ringleaders’.
