The National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA) has launched Money for Visual Artists (MFVA) online. This new service for artists available at www.mfva.com.au has over 700 listings of grants, awards, scholarships, residencies and career travel opportunities in Australia and around the world for visual and media arts, craft and design practitioners.

NAVA is the peak body representing and advancing the professional interests of the Australian visual and media arts, craft and design sector. NAVA’s essential Money for Visual Artists publication is now available on a dynamic, constantly updated and easy to use web database.

MFVA online helps you identify appropriate opportunities according to art form type, prize money and entry restrictions and links to application forms. The site is updated regularly by users (provider organisations) with information about current opportunities.

MFVA online is FREE to access for current NAVA members and is one of the most exciting new benefits of joining NAVA. MFVA is also available to non-members through a subscription service for $35.

NAVA’s Executive Director, Tamara Winikoff said, “For more than 20 years, MFVA has been NAVA’s most popular publication and at last we are able to offer this really valuable instantly accessible service to Australian artists anywhere round the country.”

For people who still love books, together with the launch of MFVA online, NAVA will produce the 11th print edition of Money for Visual Artists. The publication will be available for purchase at the end of June 2012 via the Shop on visualarts.net.au. Pre-sale orders are now being taken.
