On Friday, 14 September 2012, Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business Louise Asher released Victorian Design Initiatives 2012-15, outlining the Victorian Government’s $10 million commitment to support design innovation and best practice for Victorian business.

Victorian Design Initiatives 2012-15 reflects design’s role as an enabler of innovation and its central importance in addressing our State’s biggest challenges, such as improving productivity levels, increasing exports and environmental sustainability.

The design initiatives are part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to new ways of thinking about design. By promoting design and its applications to firms and society, more firms can use design to deliver greater revenue growth and export capabilities.

The Victorian Government looks forward to working with Victorian designers and businesses interested in making a difference through design.
