New partnership will drive $450,000 cash to the arts in Tasmania

Art Press Release from Australia. Published by Rebecca Gabrielle Cannon on Tuesday 18 October 2011.

AbaF Tasmania are very pleased to announce that Nekon Pty Ltd will partner with AbaF and the Tasmanian Government to ensure the ongoing success of the Tasmanian Premier’s Art Partnership Fund.

With Nekon’s support the fund will now have the potential to deliver $450,000 in new business partnership money to the arts sector over the next 3 years, adding to the $750,000 already provided to 61 new business and art partnerships since the fund was launched in 2008.

The Premier’s Arts Partnership Fund in Tasmania is a 3-way partnership between the Australia Business Arts Foundation, the Government of Tasmania through Arts Tasmania and a corporate partner, Nekon Pty Ltd. In 2008, Veolia Environmental Services were the initiating corporate partner of the Fund and we thank Veolia for this significant contribution.

The Fund is specifically aimed at providing an incentive for the small to medium business sector to partner with the arts bringing not only benefits to the partners but to the Tasmanian community, brand and economy.

The Fund matches the financial commitment of a business to an arts organisation – effectively doubling the value of the partnership. These cash contributions can be matched up to $10,000 for arts organisations and $5,000 for arts individuals per one financial year.
