Own a part of the 6th Experimenta Biennial - Donate now to help us get on the road

Art Press Release from Australia. Published by anonymous on Thursday 05 June 2014.

Curated by Jonathan Parsons, new Artistic Director, the 6th Experimenta International Biennial is set to open in Melbourne at RMIT Gallery on November 28th 2014 and we need your help to bring the exhibition to life.

Since 1986, Experimenta has been at the forefront of experimental media art, financially supporting artists to push their practice, to create and present works of ambition, innovative dialogue and rigour and seeking credible, broad-reaching avenues in presentation and promotion. We connect a huge number and diverse range of people through touring to the transformational experience that such art can provide.

Over the years, Experimenta has presented (and in some cases, commissioned) works by artists such as Shaun Gladwell, Daniel Crooks, Marina Abramovic, AES +F, Stelarc, Angelika Mesiti and Fischli & Weiss as well as emerging artists like Charlie Sofo, Van Sowerwine and Isobel Knowles, Christopher Fulham to an ever-increasing audience throughout Australia and beyond.

In the 6th Biennial we will be presenting inspiring Australian artists and international peers whose unconventional perspectives and approach to creativity, art and technology present an incredible stimulus to audiences.

You can be part of our commissioning process and own a part of the Experimenta experience when you donate in the lead up to the 6th Biennial. Consider making a donation by the end of the financial year (30 June). It’s fast approaching.

All donations over $2 to Experimenta are fully tax deductible. Donate Now securely online or via mailable form. We welcome your support.
