A few months away from its 25th anniversary celebrations, the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) has welcomed over eight million visitors to its free exhibitions and programs in the last sixteen years, thanks to Telstra.

MCA Director Wins 2016 NSW Creative Achievement Award

The Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA), Elizabeth Ann Macgregor OBE, is the joint winner of the 2016 NSW Creative Achievement Award alongside Sydney’s Carriageworks directed by Lisa Havilah. The NSW Minister for Industry, Resources and Energy, Anthony Roberts, announced the laureates last night at an official ceremony held at the MCA.

Genext Turns 10!

Genext now takes place 5 times a year, commanding all four floors of the MCA. It is planned and managed by the MCA Youth Committee and features exclusive access to all current exhibitions as well as performances, interactive and participatory experiences facilitated by artists, workshops, art-making activities, multiple stages for live music, and film. Over 600 young people attend each event.
