From Above image

From Above

From Above is a group show exploring the concept that "A beautiful and honest awkwardness is observed and inhibitions dissolve when beach goers relax in faux privacy. Colour relationships become glaringly apparent and space is felt with fresh insight. Repetition and patterns emerge as our awareness is tuned and we begin to examine. We become the observer, powerful and voyeuristic.

Inivisible Existence image

Inivisible Existence

Each day in the modern western world we pass by infrastructure required for our high standard of living. Each day, however, we fail to notice its existence. We are either unaware of what these dark, looming objects mean to our lives, or their presence simply doesn't even register in our conscious minds.

Shrouds – An Undercover Expose

'Shrouds’, by Mike Reed is a collection of photographs of covered cars. His love of gleaning was inherited from his ‘rag and bone’ father who amassed a metal detritus found on the bicycle route home from the factory where he worked. This assortment was stockpiled in his father’s rusted sheds, which appeared like an ‘Aladdin’s cave’ to a youthful Mike.

The High North by Michael Miller

The geographical extent of the high north is difficult to describe with certainty. The region’s scale and diversity create an ambiguity when trying to explain or classify its boundaries. Much like the Australian ideal of outback, the high north is a phrase that can be shaped depending on its intended use.
