The new forest image

The new forest

In her work The new forest, Lauren Simmonds explores sound and movement through cut paper, transforming the surfaces of the gallery into a three dimensional moving soundscape. Referencing our natural environment, like a memory of trees, sweeping fields or breathing lungs this work aims to quietly conjure the realization of our possible futures.

Whether to pay homage, exploit, self-aggrandize or as a cheaper alternative to plastic surgery, Honey’s portraits explore the construction and expansion of the Celebrity in both Hollywood and the artworld.
