Art Gallery in New York, United States.

Bodhi Art Gallery, New York, Manhattan, opens on 19th September, 2006

- Fourth Bodhi Art Gallery to open in Chelsea, Manhattan, New York with the inaugural exhibition, The Wet Sleeves of My Paper Robe (Sabari in her Youth: After Nandalal Bose) by Atul Dodiya

- With two galleries in India (in Mumbai and New Delhi, respectively), and one in Singapore, opening a fourth one in New York was the next obvious destination for Bodhi Art. This September, Bodhi Art Gallery, enters the mainstream American art circuit. Bodhi Art will make its grand debut in a 6,—sq feet gallery space, in the heart of the teeming, trendy art district of Chelsea, Manhattan, with a collection of exclusive works on paper from Atul Dodiya’s famously well-received travelling show, The Wet Sleeves of My Paper Robe (Sabari in her Youth: After Nandalal Bose).

- Karen Stone Talwar, Gallery Director, New York says, “Given that Bodhi Art, NY, intends to create a platform for young and emerging Indian art, The Wet Sleeves of My Paper Robe, is particularly important for us as a show, marking as it does our first significant venture in this city, in that direction. The goal of the opening show is to reveal the breadth of talent and the conceptual direction that is present in the gallery programme.”
