Fellowship grants provide financial support for two years to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to enable them to undertake a major creative project or program in their artform. Fellowships are worth $45,000 per year for two years. In 2013 Fellowships are only open for music and theatre projects.

The Dreaming Award

This award supports a young artist aged 18–26 years to create a major body of work through mentoring and partnerships, either nationally or internationally. The successful candidate is mentored in his/her chosen discipline (music, dance, theatre, literature, visual art, new media, cultural vibrancy) by another established professional artist or by an arts institution nominated by the artist.
