Aktis Gallery is dedicated to Modern European art, with a unique focus on Russian émigré art of the 20th century. Specialising in lyrical abstract paintings and non-conformist art of the Soviet era, the gallery’s extensive portfolio of artists includes Andre Lanskoy, Serge Poliakoff, Marie Vassilieff, Vladimir Yankilevsky and Oleg Tselkov, to name a few.

As a complement to these European painters, the gallery also houses a growing collection of works by renowned Chinese artists living in Paris during the same period, such as Chu Teh Chun and Zao Wou Ki.

Located in the prime location of St. James’s in London, Aktis Gallery has established itself as a leading destination for Russian creative arts, with its annual programme of cultural events such as artists’ round table discussions, poetry recitals and concerts by leading Russian musicians.
