Hide and Seek - Natacha Arena

Natacha Arena's visual language plays with representational and abstract elements in her paintings. She wants to suggest figurative references in avoiding a direct narrative. The transposition of the mental image on the canvas brings interrogation to the pictorial proposal as incomplete, and, non-straightforward identifiable entities, giving precedence to suggestion instead of revelation.

Luke Maninov: In This Unfolding

Neural form and states of consciousness represented through fine silver and gold jewellery alongside intricate sterling silver sculptures. The theme of our changing nervous system from birth through to ageing is explored through reflections of floral and animal anatomy. These complex organic creations simultaneously allow us to examine our impermanence and shared connection with all living things.

The Spaces Between - The Nightladder Art Collective

This exhibition explores the notion of place and how we, as humans, navigate it. Finding one's way in the world requires a particularly complex behaviour, which is even more challenged in times of globalisation, increased migration and displacement of peoples.

Tracing the Subnatural - Sara Manser

The works of art produced throughout my PhD candidature are based on my perception and aesthetic appreciation for the overlooked and unscenic aspects of nature. I have questioned ideas about what is natural and what is artificial in the nature of our cities. Through urban ecological thinking I have come to understand that cities are natural.

Toxic Undermining II image

Undermining Landscape - Jennifer Sanzaro-Nishimura

In this exhibition Jennifer examines the Australian landscape and the effects of mining from two different perspectives - the physical changes in the landscape predominantly caused by open cut mining and the toxic effects of the chemicals (used in the mining process) and the minerals/materials extracted - on the environment and groundwater systems, especially in the dry, remote inland regions.
