Canvas & Cream comprises an artists-designed upcycled restaurant/cafe, a dedicated contemporary gallery (C&C Gallery) with art workshops and creative events program. There are seven artist/artisan studios at the rear adjoining Havelock Walk, which is an established studio/live/work street. There is an alternative therapy room where various therapists offer a wide variety of therapies including Reiki, Massage, Osteopathy, Core Process, Laughing therapy, Acupuncture etc. Canvas & Cream combine, health, wellbeing, arts innovation and a unique social experience all under one roof. The construction of Canvas & Cream was a vast DIY public art project. A local family got together with neighbours and friends, using up-cycled and recycled materials sourced from skips and demolition sites, along with generous donations by supporters, they transformed an old derelict building into a beautiful haven of creativity and hub of social activity.
