Arte Berri was opened in 2004 in the Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo. The gallery is a newly renovated 16th-century house that has five exhibition rooms and an exterior sculpture garden. Among some of the most important events organized by the gallery are art auctions, book signings and the coordination of publishing art books, and important art conferences, among others.
Some of the guest speakers have been Gregorio Luke, former director of the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, CA, Dr. Carol Damian, director of the Frost Museum, Mariavelia Savino, curator, and Marianne de Tolentino, distinguished art critic.
