Bowness Photography Prize

This year, 48 photographers have been short-listed for the prize, covering the full gamut that is contemporary photography Australia. The exhibition of finalists opens at MGA on Thursday 4 September. That night, the winner of the $25,000 prize will be announced at a special cocktail party at MGA.

$36,000 Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize

The pairings of established and emerging artists who will present work in one of Australia’s foremost contemporary art prizes the Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize 2013 have been announced. A total of 21 artist pairings including two artist collectives will present new or recent work in a free exhibition to be presented at the National Art School Gallery from 3rd May until 1st June 2013.

Bowness Photography Prize 2011

Thirty seven images by some of Australia's best photographers are in the running for the $25 000 William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize. The finalist's works were selected from approximately 2 000 photographs submitted by 432 entrants. One of these finalists will win the $25 000 first prize. Three finalists will be awarded an Adobe Honourable Mention prize.
