Photographer David Stephenson is well known for his series of domes, stars and landscapes, which has led him to travel extensively all around the world, including the Arctic and Antarctic. Based in Tasmania since 1982, David is currently Research and Postgraduate Coordinator at the School of Art, University of Tasmania.

During David’s twenty-five year career, he has exhibited regularly in Australia, including recent solo shows at Boutwell Draper Gallery in Sydney, John Buckley Gallery in Melbourne and Carnegie Gallery, Hobart. His work has been shown in group exhibitions across the country, including the National Gallery of Victoria, National Gallery of Australia and the Art Gallery of South Australia. His work will also be included in an upcoming exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
