Naya Wa Yugali – We Dance

Founded by Carole Johnson in 1976, workshops in Glebe and Redfern led to the formation of the Aboriginal Islander Dance Theatre and a school for Aboriginal dance that is now known as NAISDA. Naya Wa Yugali (Darkinyung language) will feature oral histories, a new commission by Vicki Van Hout and the work of artists including Tracey Moffatt, Lee Chiswick, the late Michael Riley and Elaine Kitchener.

COLD EELS AND DISTANT THOUGHTS is an exhibition of photographs by Aboriginal male photographers of Aboriginal men. Curated by well-known indigenous writer, curator and artist Djon Mundine OAM, COLD EELS AND DISTANT THOUGHTS explores many of the stereotypes associated with Aboriginal masculinity from a range of perspectives, including documentary and conceptual practice.
