Catherine (Kate) Walsh is a female artist born in Australia, currently working in Australia.

My work aims to explore intuitive observations of the psychological and emotional aspects of human nature through processes of figurative paintings and drawings. There is a particular emphasis on portraiture, highlighting the important role that facial expressions play in communication. I work in ink, gouache, watercolour and oil, to explore an interplay between the conscious and unconscious mind, as well as the dynamics of personal interaction within relationships.
