Joyce Spiller is a female artist born in Australia, currently working in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Joyce was born in Australia, she is proud to say she is a seventh generation Australian. She is known for work that has stong emotional connections to the body and image.
She studied painting in her degree at Monash University and while there learned to love the flickering image of Super 8. Joyce is interested in travelling overseas, in 2001 she received a grant from Monash University Melbourne to study at Monash University, Prato campus, Italy.
After completing her degree , she finished her Master of Fine Art course at RMIT University in 2005 and developed a body of installation work that used various media This project was exhibited at First Site Gallery, RMIT University Melbourne.
In 2007 Joyce curated and participated in an exhibition titled ‘Mesh’ at Span Gallery Melbourne.
In August 2008, Joyce exhibited her work in Italywith Ailae.org at Australia Mito E Realta- Montefiascone (VT) Rocca Dei Papi. she is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Fine Art program at RMIT University, her exegesis is based on suppositions surrounding ageing women in Contemporary Western culture. In July 2009 Joyce is participating in an exhibition SUB12 Newport . In 2009 Joyce is invited to participate in The Florence biennale December 2009.
