Being Tiwi celebrates the vitality of nine contemporary artists living and working on the Tiwi Islands. The exhibition showcases work by artists from across generations and from all three major art centres on Bathurst and Melville Islands. Their expressive and experimental work continues to realise in different forms the Tiwi traditions of life and culture.

Luminous World brings together contemporary paintings, objects and photographs from the Wesfarmers Collection, in a conversation about light. These works, acquired by Wesfarmers over three decades by some fifty leading Australian and New Zealand artists, are shared together for the first time with the Australian public.

The world is not a foreign land brings together work by Timothy Cook, Djambawa Marawili, Ngarra, Rusty Peters, Freda Warlapinni and Nyapanyapa Yunupingu. Crossing three geographically and culturally distinct regions—the Tiwi Islands, the Kimberley, and North-eastern Arnhem Land—each artist presents sometimes strikingly different perspectives on what constitutes Indigenous contemporary art.
