Izabela Pluta has always been drawn to sites that invoke a longing for place, such as redundant urban landscapes and dilapidated or reused buildings – sites that appear to drift between an actual place and a past place. Framed by large-scale excavation and extensive new development, the CitiPower Substation is an example of an industrial landscape caught between past and future.
