The Manifesto of Autonomous Governance

Autonomism as the Post-Capitalist, Unauthoritarian model of governance

Art Text from Australia. Published by Rebecca Gabrielle Cannon on Thursday 02 February 2017.

The Manifesto of Autonomous Governance decrees that the models of Servant Leadership, Agile Philosophy and Service Oriented Architecture - which have proven to enhance the success of Enterprise Change initiatives - must now be applied to government. Communism has failed.
Capitalism has failed.
We need a new form of Governance.

We don’t need you to tell us what to do.
We, the people, will tell you, the government, what to do.

We need Servant Leaders, not Plutocrats.
We need administrators, not dictators.
We need metrics-based decisions, not aggressive assumptions.
We need scientific reasoning, not blind-faith occultism.

We will collaboratively self-organise, within an architecture oriented around the services we deliver. Through test-and-learn and continuous improvement, those closest to the problem will define its solution.

We will submit our change requests for your actioning. You will be Sustainable, Transparent, Accountable and Agile in implementing them. You will unblock blockers so that we can maximise efficiency in generating the real value that we actually deliver.

You, the government, will lead only by serving our needs.

We, The People, will be Autonomous.
