The art gallery and consultancy asart is the home of contemporary paintings and sculpture from China and South East Asia, and artwork by Indigenous Australian artists. With more than 30 years of experience and an extensive network of both artists and international dealers, asart is committed to developing artwork collections instead of accumulations.
Every year asart introduces new work from the Asia Pacific region to international buyers via major art fairs and exhibitions. At the Beijing International Art Exposition in 2011, asart received the Most Influential Gallery award from the Ministry of Culture, People’s Republic of China, in recognition of the quality and originality of the artists we exhibited.
The company is known for its unrivalled expertise in contemporary south east Asian art, based upon director Anthony Smith’s judgement and experience. Smith has tertiary qualifications in art history, and in addition to his 30 years’ experience, is regarded as having an eye for fine art and seeing trends in the market. With Smith’s tailored services, asart is able to offer a rare level of experience, judgement and connoisseurship.
