Works on canvas - Good framing can prevent sagging and distortion of the canvas as well as significantly protecting the work from physical damage. This applies to paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolour, mixed media or any other medium.

Works on paper- It is essential that drawings, paintings, etchings, screenprints, linocuts or any other work on paper is framed to protect the work from marks, moisture or dust. This must also be done using archival acid free materials that will not further damage the works over time. Framing with the right materials can also protect the work from UV degradation and therefore maintain the intensity of colours and detail in the work.

Photography – Photographs need to be treated in the same way as you would a delicate work on paper. Regardless of the type of photographic process employed, care must be taken in the long term display and protection of the work.
We can advise on the best options regarding framing, conservation and restoration and recommend the most appropriate means.
