SPECIAL VENUE FOR THE FINALISTS EXHIBITION

The major collective exhibition which will take place in the historical location of the Arsenale in Venice in March 2016.
The prestigious venue in the lagoon city will host the exhibition of 30 works of painting, 30 sculptures and installations, 30 works of photographic art, 10 videos, 10 land art projects, 5 performances which will be performed live during the exhibition’s opening ceremony.

DEDICATED VENUE FOR DIGITAL ART SECTION
The finalists of the virtual and digital art section will be on view at the Future Centre, the Venice home of Telecom Italia, an incubator for developing new business opportunities for telecommunications and new technologies, the ideal place to host the 5 works from this section: 5 ways to understand virtual and digital art through computer, tablets, applications and devices.

WHO’S SELECTING
The selection of the submitted artworks will be made by an international jury composed of high level experts:
- Museum directors
- Curators
- Art critics
They will choose the 6 overall winners for the contest’s categories.

LAND ART at Arte Laguna Prize

LAND ART at Arte Laguna Prize: Call for Submissions through January 20th, 2015

Through January 20th, 2015, Arte Laguna Prize is open for entries for a new contest section, Land Art, conceived in collaboration with Thetis Spa from Venice. Artists worldwide are eligible, with no restrictions to creativity in investigating the landscape and in putting nature in the spotlight.

Artists can submit projects of environmental and land art featuring the interaction of the artistic intervention with the environment it was designed for. There are no restrictions in the choice of the place of intervention. Projects are expected to enhance nature and its characteristics, and more generally the environmental space or the landscape they are inserted into.

The best 10 projects will be exhibited at the Arsenale of Venice during the finalists exhibition of the Arte Laguna Prize in March 2015 and the overall winner will be awarded € 7,000 euro prize money and announced during the opening ceremony on March 21st, 2015.

The jury selecting the 10 best projects includes Roberto Zancan, chief curator of Inside the Academy Program at BE OPEN Foundation and Claudio Bertorelli, landscape designer and Director of Fabbri Foundation, besides the Prize curator Igor Zanti and the representatives of Thetis.

CALL FOR ARTISTS! 9th ARTE LAGUNA PRIZE NOW OPEN FOR ENTRIES

Contest sections: painting, sculpture and installation, photographic art, video art and performance, virtual and digital art

Total Prize endowment: € 180,000

Eligibility: open to artists of all ages; free theme

Entry deadline: November 6th, 2014

Finalists collective exhibitions: March 2015 – Venice, Italy: in the prestigious venues of Venice Arsenale and Telecom Italia Future Centre

The contest features the awarding of cash prizes, the organization of a major collective exhibition in Venice, a number of personal exhibitions in Art Galleries worldwide, collaborations with Companies, Art Residencies and the publication of an official catalogue. Its aim is to promote the artists and their career by offering a range of opportunities for a total endowment of € 180,000.

THE PRIZES

5 CASH PRIZES FOR € 35,000
€ 7,000 for the winner of each section

BUSINESS FOR ART (*in order to participate, submit at least two works by October 15th, 2014)
3 artists will be selected to collaborate with 3 leaders of Made in Italy in the fields of design, fashion and wine
- Pas de Rouge, 10,000 Euros, project for the world of footwear;
- La Tordera, 5,000 Euros, creation of an artistic label;
- Riva1920, creation of a design object in wood.

8th ARTE LAGUNA PRIZE: ENTRIES OPEN UNTIL OCTOBER 30, 2013

5 competition sections: painting, sculpture and installation, photographic art, video art and performance, virtual and digital art

Total endowment: € 180,000

Participation: open to all artists, no age or nationality restrictions, free subject
